Kutak Rock recently represented Greenberg Fruit Company, a produce distribution company, in its asset sale to FreshEdge, a family of fresh food distribution companies backed by Wind Point Partners. 

Founded in 1936 and headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska, Greenberg Fruit Company distributes fruits and vegetables, including an array of fresh-cut offerings under its processing brand, Professor Fresh™, to customers throughout Nebraska and Western Iowa. 

Established in 2019 and headquartered in Indianapolis, Indiana, FreshEdge has grown into a super-regional leader in the fresh food industry, spanning 22 states throughout the Midwest and southeastern United States. Greenberg Fruit Company represents FreshEdge’s fourth acquisition since Wind Point’s initial investment in 2022.
