Kutak Rock partner Nathan Smith will participate in a panel discussion during the Washington State Bar Association’s 2023 Real Property, Probate and Trust Section Midyear Meeting and Conference on June 3 in Walla Walla, Washington.

The session, “Ground Leasing Essentials from Lessor’s and Lessee’s Perspective,” will examine key issues for the real property practitioner related to ground leasing. Nathan will be joined on the panel by Jennifer Cobb from Jasmeson Pepple Cantu PLLC.

Nathan Smith primarily practices in the areas of real estate, land use, water and environmental law. His real estate practice includes sales and acquisitions, leasing, management and operations and representation of financial institutions on real estate secured lending. His water rights practice focuses on the sale, exchange and transfer of water rights. His land use and environmental law practice includes clients in the forest products/timber, mineral, ski facility and agricultural industries in the development of their property for residential, commercial and industrial purposes.
