Kutak Rock congratulates Mike Mullin on being awarded the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Omaha Bar Association (OBA). There are only 11 prior recipients, including the firm’s co-founder, Harold Rock, in 2010.

Mike was recognized in front of a group of his peers at Omaha Law Day, a nationally recognized day set aside to celebrate the Rule of Law. Kutak Rock attorney Jay Jackson was the keynote speaker for the event and discussed "Cornerstones of Democracy: Civics, Civility, and Collaboration."

A past president of the Omaha Bar Association, Mike is the 12th recipient of the OBA’s top award and the first since 2017. The criteria under consideration for the award include (1) exemplary service to the profession, (2) support and service to the Omaha Bar Association, (3) innovative contributions to improving justice, and (4) longstanding commitment to mentoring in the law.

Mike has been involved with the OBA for many years including serving on the executive council and then as OBA president from 2001-2002. Mike is still active in OBA activities and continues to take on leadership roles in the House of Delegates of the NSBA, and previously served on the board of directors of the Nebraska State Bar Foundation. He has also impacted many in the form of mentorship through the years impacting many generations of mediators.

Mike has served as a mediator in over 4,600 disputes involving personal injury and wrongful death suits, product liability suits, insurance coverage and bad-faith disputes, professional liability claims, construction disputes, employment disputes, commercial and corporate disputes, FELA actions, FLSA collective actions, class action disputes and other civil matters.
