Kutak Rock tax partners Matthias Edrich and Adam Baird will discuss advanced tax law matters alongside other experts in the municipal finance industry at The Institute Conference hosted by the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) U, March 3-4 in Miami, Florida.

Mr. Baird will participate in a panel titled “All About Allocations” that will cover the discrete matters related to tax allocations, including multipurpose allocations, inconsistent allocations across Treasury Regulations, multi-generational allocation issues and how to correct prior allocations.

Mr. Edrich will analyze complex transactions on a panel titled “Trickier Tax Reissuance Questions” that will examine whether a modification triggers a reissuance under section 1001, the level of discretion that documents may permit without triggering a significant modification, and the latest in LIBOR-related transition matters.

Matthias Edrich is a member of Kutak Rock’s national federal tax and public finance practice. He serves as director on the Board of Directors of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) and contributes heavily to their webinars, panels and conferences. Mr. Edrich has been awarded the President’s Service Award by NABL and is a recipient of the Carlson Prize given by NABL.

Adam Baird is also a member of Kutak Rock’s national federal tax and public finance practice. Mr. Baird focuses in housing-related public finance tax matters but also regularly serves as tax counsel to general governmental and conduit financings as well. Mr. Baird has been a frequent contributor to NABL projects.
