News | November 1, 2021

Kutak Rock Partner Fred Marienthal has joined the CU Foundation Trustees, the University of Colorado’s national program honoring CU’s loyal friends and most generous donors. Philanthropic ambassadors for CU, Trustees learn about and advocate for the university and invest their time and resources to advance CU’s mission. The Trustees gather quarterly for in-depth explorations of CU’s four campuses and conversations with faculty, students, deans, and university leadership.

“Fred has been a leader at CU Denver for many years, serving effectively on our Chancellor’s Development Committee and the School of Public Affairs Dean’s Advisory Board,” says Chancellor Michelle Marks. “I am so pleased that Fred will now have the opportunity to share his wisdom and expertise more broadly with the CU system through his engagement as a CU Foundation Trustee.”

Colorado Governors Roy Romer, Bill Owens and Bill Ritter appointed Fred to serve on the Colorado Municipal Bond Supervision Advisory Board. Fred also serves as a board member for Public Media Company (Chair), Kitchen Sisters Productions and Friends School in Boulder (Treasurer).

The CU Foundation is the portal for philanthropic giving to the University of Colorado. The Foundation receives, manages and invests private support for the benefit of CU. The Foundation also manages and convenes the CU Foundation Trustees on behalf of CU Advancement.
