Sisera Daniel, a partner in Kutak Rock’s Washington, D.C. office, will present at the Council of Development Finance Agencies’ (CDFA) Intro Housing Finance WebCourse. The presentation, titled “Introduction to Housing Finance,” will be held on Wednesday, August 4 at 12:15 p.m. EDT.

Ms. Daniel and co-presenter James Carras of Carras Community Investment, Inc. will discuss a brief history of housing finance that will provide context for the issues currently seen in the housing market. Throughout the session, they will examine major players, partners and stakeholders found in the housing sector. Ms. Daniel and Mr. Carras will also explore market segmentation with a special focus on understanding the differences between market rate, mixed-income, and affordable housing. The session will conclude with a review of case studies intended to highlight the diversity of financing sources often combined to complete affordable housing developments.
