Marcia Washkuhn, chair of Kutak Rock’s employment law practice group, will speak at the 2020 Wellbeing Partners Xchange Summit on Wednesday, October 7 during a breakout session at 11:05 a.m. CDT.

With states reopening in the wake of the global pandemic, employers are planning and preparing for a safe return to the workplace. Ms. Washkuhn’s presentation, “Addressing Employee Safety Concerns and Accommodation Requests Related to COVID-19,” will examine the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s (EEOC) COVID-19 guidance and process related to employees who may be entitled to reasonable accommodations, as well as possible accommodations to eliminate or reduce the risk of COVID-19. She will also share the importance of planning for accommodation requests and what to do when at-risk employees don’t request accommodations.

The Xchange Summit is a professional development wellbeing summit that brings together changemakers in workplace wellness, human resources, and community health from across the region to:

  • collaborate with communities across sectors for collective impact,
  • connect skills with practical strategies and innovative results, and
  • commit to improving health and wellness for all.
