Tax Partner Matthias Edrich Chairs Panel at NABL U’s The Workshop: Virtual 2020 Conference
News | September 21, 2020Kutak Rock tax partner Matthias Edrich will chair a panel titled “Arbitrage and Rebate” at The Workshop: Virtual 2020 Conference hosted by the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) U on Friday, September 25 at 12:30 p.m. EDT.
Mr. Edrich’s panel will address arbitrage and rebate concepts commonly encountered in structuring transactions and maintaining post-issuance compliance. The panel will build upon intermediate concepts through discussions by panelists of real-world practical hypotheticals incorporating current practice trends such as working capital financings, universal cap computations and temporary period considerations.
The Workshop: Virtual 2020 Conference will include:
- An update from Washington, D.C. insiders on the current updates on COVID-19 stimulus and economic recovery legislation;
- The latest news and insights from leading tax and securities law industry practitioners and government officials; and
- Eighteen topical panel sessions focused on securities law, tax law, and other topics affecting municipal bonds.
The Workshop: Virtual 2020 is NABL’s biggest and most comprehensive conference, catering to a wide array of practice areas and levels of experience. It serves as the premier forum for the exchange of ideas and information concerning municipal bond law and practice. The Workshop offers attendees up to 10 hours of CLE credit, which includes two hours of ethics credit.
Mr. Edrich is a member of Kutak Rock’s national federal tax and public finance practice. His work focuses on U.S. tax aspects of financial instruments, with an emphasis on tax-exempt bonds.
