On behalf of the National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL), Kutak Rock tax partner Matthias Edrich recently presented an online issue briefing that addresses legislative requests for facilitating the recovery of housing and continuing care facilities. The briefing is one of several informational briefings published by NABL on May 19, NABL for Congressional staff members and the Treasury Department that cover issues affecting the municipal bond market as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The briefings closely follow a letter NABL sent to Congress and the Treasury Department on April 9.

Mr. Edrich’s briefing specifically discusses ways to facilitate fiscal relief with state or local government bonds for low-income multifamily rental housing and single-family housing amid the economic impact of the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Mr. Edrich is a member of Kutak Rock’s national federal tax and public finance practice. His work focuses on U.S. tax aspects of financial instruments, with an emphasis on tax-exempt bonds.
