The Alternative & Direct Investment Securities Association (ADISA) opened its October 2019 annual conference and trade show in Las Vegas with a Women’s Initiative Reception and Lunch, featuring insights from moderator Deborah Froling. Ms. Froling is a partner in Kutak Rock’s Washington, D.C. office. The panel included Janice Olson; Kimsey Bailey, vice president with CNL Securities Corporation; and Sara Borazan, director of business development with North Capital Private Securities.
In addition to her real estate securities law practice, Ms. Froling is also a member of the Investment Program Association’s Women’s Initiative Network (WIN), and a former member of the board of directors of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL), among other organizations. She frequently serves as a moderator, panelist or speaker at industry events.
ADISA is the nation’s largest trade association for the alternative and direct investment space, whose members work in non-traded Real Estate Investment Trusts (REITs), Business Development Companies (BDCs), Master Limited Partnerships (MLPs) and private and public funds (LPs/LLCs), 1031 exchange programs (DSTs/TICs), energy and oil and gas interests, equipment leasing programs, and other alternative and direct investment offerings. ADISA was founded in 2003 and currently includes approximately 4,500 members.
