Todd Kinney, a partner in Kutak Rock’s Omaha office, was recently quoted in the August 16 Midlands Business Journal article “Cyber insurance is imperative in today’s world.” The article illuminates the need for cyber insurance coverage due to an increase in risks related to information technology as more organizations lean on internet-based tools to do business.

Mr. Kinney says “cyber insurance is just as important as general liability and workers compensation. [It] gives business owners peace of mind, as well as financial advantages.” He also remarks “There’s not a one size fits all with cyber insurance. If you make it part of a broader data security plan, you’ll be in much better shape when a security incident happens.”
