NABL Awards President’s Service Award to Matthias Edrich at 43rd Annual NABL Workshop

The National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL) has awarded Kutak Rock tax partner Matthias Edrich the President’s Service Award, a new award delivered by NABL Chair Sandy MacLennan to recognize individuals for distinguished service to NABL. A member of the firm’s national section 103 tax practice group, Mr. Edrich has also served as chair of the NABL’s Tax Law Committee and is a steering committee member of this year’s NABL Bond Attorneys’ Workshop in Chicago. He is also chair of the “Arbitrage and Rebate: Can I Earn It? Can I Keep It?” panel, guiding speakers in addressing introductory, intermediate and advanced concepts of the arbitrage and rebate rules of the Internal Revenue Code and Treasury Regulations.

Mr. Edrich advises clients on developing effective tax solutions and delivering efficient structuring ideas relating to municipal and corporate debt. He has represented clients ranging from banks, securities dealers and governmental and corporate securities issuers to energy and solid waste recycling companies, manufacturers, hospitals and other healthcare organizations and various types of nonprofits. Mr. Edrich also counsels clients in Internal Revenue Service audits and private letter ruling and voluntary closing agreement program (VCAP) requests.
