Sillyman Appointed to Herberger Theater Center’s Board of Directors

In January, Michael Sillyman, a senior partner at Kutak Rock LLP, was appointed to a three-year term on the Board of Directors of the Herberger Theater Center, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to support and foster the growth of performing arts in Phoenix as the premier performance venue, arts incubator and advocate.

“I am proud to join the Herberger board,” Sillyman stated. “I look forward to helping a vibrant organization further its efforts to positively impact the cultural and educational development of the Valley.”

Each year, approximately 120,000 patrons, including 30,000 school-aged children, experience live performing arts through programs at The Herberger Theater Center.

Sillyman practices primarily in the area of complex commercial litigation including defense of business torts, defamation, contract claims, securities fraud and interference claims as well as insurance coverage litigation. He has an extensive practice in administrative law and has represented numerous state licensing agencies and several government entities, including the State of Arizona and various counties and municipalities, in matters involving the representation of elected and appointed officials, enforcement of development fees, public records requests, open meetings laws and government pension-related litigation. Mr. Sillyman also represents employers in a variety of employment matters. He also serves as a neutral for the American Arbitration Association.
