Elise Dieterich Authors The Internet of Things

Kutak Rock attorney Elise Dieterich has published the article "The Internet of Things" in the July 2016 issue of The Corporate Counselor and the June 2016 issue of Cybersecurity Law & Strategy, a new publication from ALM.

In the article, Dieterich briefly defines The Internet of Things (IoT), describes its burgeoning use, and discusses attendant privacy and cybersecurity issues. She encourages enterprise consumers of IoT devices to adopt the best practices outlined by the Federal Trade Commission to maximize the benefits while minimizing the risk in the use of IoT. She emphasizes that carefully tailored privacy practices and robust security measures are essential, especially when incorporating IoT devices into critical functions.
