Todd Guerrero in Kutak Rock’s Minneapolis office assisted Origis Energy USA, Inc. on a 52 MW solar energy project to be located in Sumrall, Mississippi. Origis is partnering with Mississippi Power Company on the project, which is part of a significant recently-approved utility-scale portfolio of solar photovoltaic installations in Mississippi, making Mississippi Power Company the largest provider of renewable energy in the state. In addition to Origis, Mississippi Power is collaborating with two other solar energy developers along with the U.S. Navy to build 105 MW of solar power at three different locations in the company’s service territory.
