Michael Thomas spoke at the 2014 South Central Chapter Annual Conference of the American Association of Airport Executives held in Albuquerque, New Mexico on March 23-26. The conference addressed aviation and airline industry challenges.
Thomas’s presentation, "Funding Capital Programs—More to Discuss than AIP and PFC Funding," focused on the changes, if any, airport capital plans have undergone over the last several years as a result of declining federal aviation grant levels and the lack of an increase in the passenger facility charges.
Thomas is a partner in the Denver office of Kutak Rock LLP and is a member of the public finance group. His practice focuses on representing issuers and underwriters in tax-exempt and taxable financings, particularly for transportation-related issuers, including, among others, airports, ports and mass transportation systems, and for utility-related issuers such as water, wastewater, power and gas systems.
