Our Federal Tax Controversy practice, with substantive tax expertise and experience dealing with the IRS, represents taxpayers before the IRS and in all federal and state courts in which tax disputes are litigated. Our representation includes individuals, nonprofit organizations, hospitals, large corporations and other for-profit business entities, through all stages of the administrative process with the IRS, from the audit and administrative appeals process through the judicial litigation process.
Our group focuses on IRS examinations, as well as various alternative dispute programs offered by the IRS to taxpayers. We work diligently to favorably resolve disputes with the IRS and avoid litigation when possible, allowing clients to achieve a favorable resolution while mitigating the costs and risks of litigation. However, when necessary, we are prepared to represent clients in all phases of the judicial litigation process.
