Michelle E. Pernicek

Michelle practices in the area of public finance and affordable housing financing. She routinely serves as bond counsel and bond purchaser’s counsel in multifamily housing financings across the country. She has also represented hedge funds investing in derivatives and municipal securities. She has substantial experience as special counsel to lenders for the acquisition and documentation of interest rate caps in multifamily housing transactions.

Michelle serves on the firm’s Pro Bono and Community Service Committee. 

Outside of her public finance practice, Michelle assists as a volunteer attorney with the Legal Aid of Nebraska at various pro bono clinics throughout Omaha. In addition, Michelle serves the Nebraska State Bar Association as a member of the House of Delegates, the Executive Committee for the Women in the Law Section, the Barristers’ Ball Committee, and the Judicial Resources Committee. She has also volunteered her time with various civic boards and committees. Michelle currently serves on The Rose Theater Guild, as the chair of the Georgetown University Alumni Admissions Program Committee for Nebraska, and as a sustainer with the Junior League of Omaha. She previously served as a mentor with the TeamMates Mentoring Program for five years and volunteered with the TeamMates Tailgate Gala Committee.

Before entering private practice, Michelle served as a law clerk for the Honorable Frankie J. Moore of the Nebraska Court of Appeals.
