Ashley’s national insurance practice encompasses an extensive range of coverage issues, including:
- Defending first-party lawsuits alleging breach of contract;
- Litigating declaratory judgment actions regarding the coverage afforded by commercial general liability, professional liability, excess/umbrella and other types of insurance policies;
- Defending allegations of insurance bad faith; and
- Providing coverage opinions on first-party and third-party claims for insurance benefits.
Ashley’s commercial litigation practice focuses primarily on the representation of businesses in matters involving breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty.
Ashley is a native of Iowa and a fourth-generation farmer. Prior to law school, she worked as a logistics department manager for a leading window and door manufacturer. She also has experience working in private practice in rural Iowa serving as a city attorney for multiple municipalities and advising clients in estate planning, probate, agricultural law, and real estate.
