Alex represents commercial and industrial clients in commercial litigation and arbitration. Alex develops and executes litigation strategy for new industries, including by asserting and protecting the constitutional rights of businesses and their owners. Alex helps data center and digital asset mining companies in navigating and complying with federal, state, and local regulatory obligations. Alex has served as lead counsel at trial, motions hearings, and appellate argument. 

Before entering private practice, Alex served as a deputy prosecuting attorney in the Sixth Judicial District of Arkansas, where he managed prosecutions from initial filing to final adjudication and tried dozens of bench and jury trials. Alex has specific experience helping companies navigate the intersections of civil and criminal litigation, including responding to criminal and administrative investigations.

Before becoming a deputy prosecutor, Alex served as a law clerk to U.S. District Judge Kristine G. Baker of the Eastern District of Arkansas. Alex started his legal career as an AmeriCorps Justice Fellow at the Center for Arkansas Legal Services, where he served as counsel for low-income veterans in civil and administrative proceedings.

  • Alex argued on behalf of the appellee as lead counsel before the Eighth Circuit in Jones Eagle, LLC v. Wes Ward et al., Eighth Circuit Court Case No. 25-1047.
  • Alex served as lead counsel in a multi-day AAA Arbitration involving tens of millions of dollars in claims and counterclaims.
  • Alex served as lead counsel defending claims brought by 24 separate plaintiffs against a data center facility executing a removal to federal court and ultimately concluding in settlement.
  • Alex served as lead counsel for a data center company to win a temporary restraining order and preliminary injunction order to restrain the State of Arkansas from enforcing two state laws that imposed discriminatory and industry-specific regulations and taxes.
  • Alex served as lead counsel for a technology company to win a contested preliminary injunction to strike down a local ordinance in violation of Arkansas law. That matter resulted in a permanent injunction in the favor of the client, which was entered by consent decree.
  • Alex has prepared winning dispositive motions in commercial litigation, including winning summary judgment for an investment company in claims brought under a promissory note.
