Emma is a member of the firm's Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Practice Group, advising plan sponsors, fiduciaries, and committees on the design, administration, and operation of employee benefit plans under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) and the Internal Revenue Code. She concentrates her practice primarily in the areas of qualified retirement plans, Section 403(b) and 457 plans, governmental plans, 529 education savings and ABLE plans, and sick leave and paid time off programs. Emma also counsels clients on health and welfare plan matters.

Emma's experience includes plan design and operational compliance, fiduciary duties and procedures, fiduciary committee practices, risk assessment, required disclosures and plan policies, investment review, and IRS and DOL filings and audits. She also assists clients with employee benefits issues in the context of mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.
