McKee and Ahrenholz: SEC Flexes Enforcement Muscle in EB-5 Action

Publications - Article | January 5, 2018

Kutak Rock partner Mariza McKee and EB-5 consultant Robert Ahrenholz authored an article entitled “SEC Flexes Its Enforcement Muscle In EB-5 Enforcement Action" for the December 2017 issue of EB-5 Investors Magazine. The article appears as the "A Closer Look At The Law" feature.

In the article, McKee and Ahrenholz explain that recent SEC enforcement actions relating to two EB-5 financings in Idaho make it imperative that EB-5 stakeholders familiarize themselves with the additional enforcement powers now being utilized by the SEC.

McKee, a partner in the firm's Chicago office, focuses her practice on structuring, negotiating and documenting EB-5 financings. She counsels regional centers, private equity funds, developers, lenders, borrowers and community development agencies that manage or are otherwise involved with domestic and international equity offerings seeking EB-5 investment.

Ahrenholz is an EB-5 financing consultant focusing on securities, corporate finance and structured financing matters. He was a partner in the Denver office of Kutak Rock for more than 34 years.
