Kutak Rock attorneys Brian Bartels and John Schembari authored an article, “Fiduciary Duties in the Public Sector,” in the April 2015 edition of Benefits Magazine.
The article provides governmental plan fiduciaries with information to assist with their responsibilities. Bartels is a corporate associate in the firm’s Omaha office. He works with public governmental, tax-exempt, and private sector clients on employee benefit plan issues. He advises clients on health and welfare plans, the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act, HIPAA, cafeteria plans and fringe benefits.
Schembari is chair of the corporate finance department and a partner at the firm’s Omaha office. He concentrates his practice primarily in employee benefits, executive compensation, tax, corporate and privacy law.
