News | October 12, 2026

Kutak Rock is pleased to share that Elizabeth Bachmann was a panelist at the ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development’s 2026 Boot Camp in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Elizabeth joined two other attorneys for a practical session, “Best Practices for Closing a LIHTC Transaction,” held on Thursday, October 8, at 3:30 p.m. ET.

Closing a low-income housing tax credit (LIHTC) transaction is where preparation meets pressure. The panel offered practical, close-to-the-ground guidance for navigating the closing process smoothly, drawing on the presenters’ experience handling these transactions.

Topics included:

  • Diligence review, including corporate and real estate documents, title and survey;
  • Reviewing legal documents for programmatic compliance; and
  • Confirming consistency across the transaction documents and closing process.

The ABA Forum on Affordable Housing and Community Development’s annual Boot Camp brought together junior attorneys working in the area of affordable housing to learn from experienced practitioners and build practical skills. The 2026 program took place October 8 - 9 in Charlotte.
