Miriam Blair Named to “Top 50 Women Leaders in Nebraska for 2026”

Kutak Rock congratulates Miriam Blair who has been named to “Top 50 Women Leaders in Nebraska for 2026” by Women We Admire. This list highlights women leaders who have kept Nebraska connected to markets beyond the Midwest.

Miriam is the Inclusive Engagement Director at Kutak Rock. The Inclusive Engagement Department upholds the firm’s commitment to a collegial and equitable work environment for all its employees focusing on fostering an inclusive workplace and strengthening communities where we live and work.

Miriam began working at Kutak Rock in 1996, when she started as a floater secretary. She has worked at Kutak Rock for over two decades since then in several departments from floater secretary, legal secretary, interim Document Processing Supervisor, IT Trainer, Administrative Assistant to the Office of the Chair, and currently as the Inclusive Engagement Director.

Miriam is a faith-based community builder with more than 30 years of experience facilitating workshops, speaking at conferences, and serving on panels that equip employers, organizations and clergy to navigate race relations and cultural fluency.

Ordained in 2019 after graduating from Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary, Miriam serves as senior pastor of First Lutheran Church Omaha where she is the Nebraska Synod ECLA’s only African American senior pastor. 

In response to this recognition, Miriam said, “It’s humbling to be included among so many remarkable Nebraska leaders. I’m proud to be at Kutak Rock, whose values align with my own.”

Miriam also co-chairs R.A.R.E. (Racial Awareness, Reconciliation and Engagement), energizing churches across the Synod to confront racism through dialogue and action. She also serves on the board of directors for Goodwill Omaha.
