Kutak Rock is pleased to announce that attorney Charles McKenna will join the firm’s Irvine office as a transition partner on September 30, 2024. Charles brings more than 30 years of experience in business litigation, real estate law, public entity representation, mortgage banking litigation, and labor and employment law. He has successfully represented clients in complex corporate disputes, real estate actions, lender defense, and the defense of discrimination and wrongful termination claims, including class actions.

Charles has tried numerous cases in state and federal courts and has served as counsel of record in appeals before both the California Courts of Appeal and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. His appellate work includes published opinions. Additionally, Charles has substantial mediation and arbitration experience, helping clients resolve disputes efficiently and cost-effectively.

Charles’ addition will strengthen Kutak Rock’s litigation capabilities in California and enhance the firm’s ability to provide comprehensive legal services to its clients. He earned his J.D. from Loyola Law School and his B.A. in History from the University of California, Los Angeles. He is admitted to practice in California, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit, and all U.S. District Courts within the state.
