Kutak Rock partner Peter Barrett will be speaking on a panel at the upcoming 39^th Annual Mid-Atlantic Institute on Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice Seminar on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. ET The panel, titled “Avoidance Actions,” will address developing theories of liability and recent litigation of avoidance claims in both consumer and commercial cases.

Over two days, seminar attendees will hear expert analysis of the year’s most relevant and timely bankruptcy topics and receive updates on the important decisions rendered during the past year.

Peter represents unsecured and secured creditors, trustees, lessors, equity holders and corporate debtors in insolvency matters, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, business liquidations and loan workouts. He also represents clients in connection with acquisition of distressed assets and insolvency-related litigation. Based in the Richmond, Virginia office of Kutak Rock, Peter regularly appears in bankruptcy courts across the country to represent the interests of firm clients. He also serves as a member of the panel of Chapter 7 bankruptcy trustees for the Eastern District of Virginia, Richmond Division.
