John Schembari, chair of the firm’s national Employee Benefits and Executive Compensation Group, will be speaking at the upcoming United Benefit Advisors (UBA) Fall Conference in Chicago. The conference runs September 8 – 10 at the Swisshotel Chicago and will bring together UBA partner firms & alliances to connect with independent benefit advisor peers and partner organizations from across the country.

John’s speech, titled “Predicting the Future – New Litigation Trends Affecting Plan Sponsors” will focus on recent litigation across the country impacting employers sponsoring health and welfare plans. In addition to discussing the legal conclusions of these cases, he will discuss trends and possible future litigation that is relevant to employers. John will also offer practical suggestions for employers to mitigate their litigation risk based on these new cases and trends.
