Kutak Rock partner Toger Swanson will participate in the Novogradac Affordable Housing Summit in Honolulu, Hawaii on Thursday, November 14 from 2:45 to 3:30 p.m. (HT). Toger will speak on a panel that will address bond financing in Hawaii, a state that allocates nearly all of its $400 million in annual private activity bond cap to finance affordable housing in conjunction with 4% LIHTCs. The panel will detail opportunities and challenges for bond-financed developments and provide insight on the best practices to fill financing gaps.

Toger works with all participants in affordable multifamily housing finance, including issuers, developers, lenders, trustees, credit enhancers, financial advisors and investors. His practice includes serving as bond counsel, issuer counsel, trustee counsel, lender counsel and developer counsel. Since 2014 Toger has served as bond counsel to the Hawaii Housing Finance and Development Corporation for its multifamily affordable housing program.
