Kutak Rock has been recognized by The Diversity and Flexibility Alliance with a “Tipping the Scales” Award for having 50% or more women in its 2022 new partner class. Of the 26 new partners, 50% are women, as announced in January. Kutak Rock was among 57 law firms to receive the award at the Nov. 3 Diversity and Flexibility Alliance’s Annual Meeting.
Titled “Cultivating a Holistic Work Culture: The Power of People, Purpose & Productivity,” the online event brought together influencers and innovators from the legal and professional services industries to learn how to create moments of impact within organizations.
“While we’re dismayed that only 40.2% of new partners at law firms across the nation are women, Kutak Rock is proud to have welcomed a new partner class that is 50% female,” said firm Chair John Petr. “This speaks to the firm’s longstanding and continuing commitment not just to hiring women as attorneys, but to providing them support, opportunity, flexibility and benefits that enable them to reach their potential in providing service to our clients and leadership to our firm.”
Manar Morales, President & CEO of the Diversity & Flexibility Alliance, noted that the legal industry must be mindful of downward trends and “renew its commitment to increasing the share of women partners by focusing on the recruitment, retention, and advancement of women.”
