Jonathan Johnson to Speak at NABL General Session
News | October 11, 2022Jonathan Johnson, a transition partner in Kutak Rock’s Tallahassee office, will be speaking on a panel during the General Session of the NABL (National Association of Bond Lawyers) Workshop in Chicago, IL on October 12 at 12:30 CST.
The panel, “Lessons from Reedy Creek,” will discuss actions taken by the Florida legislature to dissolve the Reedy Creek Improvement that have sent shockwaves through the market for special district bonds. Brian Egan, NABL Director of Governmental Relations will facilitate the panel discussion with other distinguished experts covering the Reedy Creek situation and the potential broader impact going forward on special district financings specifically and on the municipal bond market in general.

Jonathan Johnson has focused his practice on stewardship districts, community development districts and other special district work, including infrastructure financing, land development, and local government law. He counsels landowners, developers, bondholders, and other parties regarding financing and managing of infrastructure requirements for now and developing communities including the establishment of special taxing districts. He also serves as general counsel to a number of stewardship districts, special districts, and community development districts.
