Elijah Haahr to Participate in Public Policy Speaker Series

News | December 2, 2020

Elijah Haahr, of counsel in the firm’s Springfield, Missouri office, will participate in the 2020 Virtual Public Policy Speaker Series hosted by the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce on December 15 from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m.

In November 2012 Mr. Haahr was elected to the Missouri House of Representatives to represent south central Springfield (District 134) and in 2018 was elected by his peers to serve as Speaker of the House, the youngest in the country. He will be departing his seat at the end of the year as a result of term limits.

During his time as a Representative, Speaker Haahr was an important advocate for the southwest Missouri region and Springfield’s business community. This work was amplified by the fact that he was the first Speaker of the House in the history of Missouri who was from Springfield. His presentation will be a reflection on his career in the House as he concludes his service.
