Deborah Froling to Moderate Diversity and Inclusiveness Panel at IPAVision 2020

Kutak Rock partner Deborah Froling will moderate a panel at the Institute for Portfolio Alternatives’ (IPA) IPAVision 2020 virtual meeting Oct. 29. Titled “Transformational Thinking – How D&I and ESG Produce Better Business Outcomes,” the panel will address the intersection of Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives with Diversity and Inclusion (D&I) efforts in the business world, where change is often slow.

The keynote speaker is John W. Rogers, Jr., Chairman, co-CEO and Chief Investment Officer at Ariel Investments. Ms. Froling will be joined by co-moderator Tony Chereso, President and CEO of IPA.

Ms. Froling resides in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office where she handles public and private debt and equity offerings, primarily for REITs and other real estate companies, as well as non-traded equipment finance and oil and gas companies, and business development companies. She also structures and closes numerous tenant in common syndications and works with public and private company clients providing general corporate counseling and advising on periodic and annual reporting and other SEC disclosure requirements.

In addition to her real estate securities law practice, Ms. Froling is co-chair of the Investment Program Association’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee, and a former member of the board of directors and former president of the National Association of Women Lawyers (NAWL), among other organizations. She frequently serves as a moderator, panelist or speaker at industry events.
