For a fifth consecutive year, Kutak Rock litigator Gigi O’Hara has been named by Benchmark Litigation to its “Top 250 Women in Litigation,” a publication that recognizes and honors the achievements of female litigators in a variety of practice areas in the United States. Ms. O’Hara has been recognized for achievements in her practice area of Labor and Employment, including employment litigation and defending wage and hour class and collective actions.

According to Benchmark Litigation, the decision to feature a distinguished female litigator is based primarily on a six-month investigation into the individual litigator's professional activities, as well as client feedback surveys and individual interviews, all of which culminate “in the selection of the country’s most distinguished women in the world of litigation.” The women selected “have earned their place amongst the leading female litigators by participating in some of the most impactful litigation matters in recent history as well as by earning the hard-won respect of their peers and clients.”

Ms. O’Hara is the only Nebraska attorney to be chosen by Benchmark Litigation for the 2020 "Top 250 Women in Litigation" publication.

Ms. O’Hara is a practiced trial attorney who has litigated and tried cases to verdict before a jury in state and federal court under a variety of employment claims, including Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the Equal Pay Act, the FMLA, constructive discharge, and state-specific domestic violence leave laws, among others. As the head of the firm’s national Wage and Hour Defense Group, Ms. O’Hara regularly defends clients in FLSA litigation and wage and hour class actions across the United States.
