Peter Barrett, a partner in the firm’s Richmond office, will speak at the American Bankruptcy Institute’s 2019 Southeast Bankruptcy Workshop in Amelia Island, FL on Friday, July 19 and Saturday, July 20.

Mr. Barrett will present on the panel, “Chapter 11 Financing: Roll-Ups, Roll-Overs and Creeping Roll-Overs.” The panel will discuss lending strategies, general tenets of 11 U.S.C. § 364, different types of Debtor-in-Possession (DIP) bankruptcy loans, desirable provisions in DIP financing and how the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Commission report might impact the DIP process.

Founded in 1982, the American Bankruptcy Institute is known as the nation’s largest association of bankruptcy professionals. The organization is made up of over 12,000 attorneys, bankers, judges, lenders, professors, turnaround specialists, accountants and other professionals.

Mr. Barrett represents unsecured and secured creditors, trustees, lessors, equity holders and corporate debtors in insolvency matters, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, business liquidations and loan workouts.
