Kutak Rock is Fourth-Ranked Bond Counsel in Nation

Kutak Rock has been named by Refinitiv, in its Year-end Annual Review, the fourth-ranked bond counsel firm in the nation for 2018. The firm closed 369 long-term municipal issues, the second largest number, in excess of $16.2 billion last year. The ranking repeats the firm’s fourth-place finish in 2017.

In addition, Kutak Rock was ranked the number five disclosure counsel in the nation with 125 issues totaling $5.47 billion. In the role of underwriter’s counsel, the firm surpassed last year’s ranking and placed sixth nationally in 2018, with 250 issues, the most of any firm this year, totaling $9.85 billion. Kutak Rock was also the fourth-ranked special tax counsel for 2018, with 16 issues aggregating $930 million.

Notably, over the period that began in 1992, Kutak Rock has served as underwriter’s counsel in more issues than any other firm.

More than 110 attorneys comprise the firm’s National Public Finance Department across 14 office locations. Kutak Rock has served as bond counsel to issuers and borrowers of every type across the United States, including traditional political bodies such as states, counties, cities and school districts, as well as numerous special purpose financing authorities such as public power districts, institutions of higher education, state housing finance agencies and student loan agencies.
