The Kansas City Business Journal named two Kutak Rock attorneys to its 2018 Best of the Bar list, including Mark Sappington, a healthcare partner, and Larry Fields, a litigation partner. They were selected by a panel of judges based on their professional reputation, involvement in significant cases and civic involvement.

This is the second year of the Journal’s retooled nomination and selection process, switching from peer nomination and peer selection to peer- and self-nomination and panel selection. The aims, according to the Journal, were to tighten the number of attorneys named Best of the Bar, focus on legal areas most valuable to readers, and even the playing field among different-sized firms.

Mr. Sappington and Mr. Fields, along with the other esteemed honorees, will be recognized at a reception October 25 at the Carriage Club in Kansas City.
