Jennie Clark Stewart in Arkansas Business Magazine

News | August 13, 2018

Jennie Clark Stewart, a partner in Kutak Rock's Little Rock office, provides extensive commentary for an article titled "Trust Planning Smooths Way for Survivors" which appeared in the August 13th edition of Arkansas Business magazine.

The article discusses estate planning and trust management. Ms. Stewart explains that setting up a trust fund is more expensive than writing a will, but the long-term benefits more than make up for short-term costs. She goes on to provide a detailed example of the most common form of trust – the revocable trust – a procedure to create the trust and then have assets like homes deeded over to it. Ms. Stewart agrees that “trusts can be a huge help for people before they die,” and in the article she explains how trusts work to provide financial control over inheritances left to minors or in the case of an incapacitated individual.
