Debra Thompson Elected First Female Managing Partner of Kutak Rock’s Atlanta Office

Kutak Rock announces that Debra M. Thompson has been elected Managing Partner of the firm’s Atlanta, Georgia office effective October 16, 2017. She succeeds David Amsden, who served in the position since 1999 and was promoted to Vice Chair of the firm in April 2016. With this appointment, Thompson also joins the firm’s Executive Committee. She most recently served as a member of the firm’s Policy Board.

Thompson focuses her practice on commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, leasing and development of commercial properties. She represents retailers, real estate investors and developers in a variety of commercial real estate transactions involving various types of properties located throughout the United States, including shopping centers, mixed-use developments, stand-alone projects for big-box retailers and other retail and commercial developments. She earned a J.D. from the Frederic G. Levin College of Law at the University of Florida.
