Kutak Rock attorney Peter Barrett presented at the 32nd Annual Mid-Atlantic Institute on Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice on Friday, September 15, and for the Virginia CLE/Virginia Law Foundation on Thursday, October 12.
For the Mid-Atlantic Institute on Bankruptcy and Reorganization Practice, Barrett was part of a "Hot Topics" panel that discussed a number of complex legal issues that have been the subject of recent decisions arising out of commercial and consumer bankruptcy cases.
On October 12 Barrett presented on “The Essentials of Bankruptcy Practice in Virginia” for the Virginia CLE/Virginia Law Foundation.
Barrett, a partner in the firm's Richmond, Virginia office, represents unsecured and secured creditors, trustees, lessors, equity holders and corporate debtors in insolvency matters, including Chapter 11 reorganizations, business liquidations and loan workouts. He also represents clients in connection with acquisition of distressed assets and insolvency-related litigation and regularly appears in bankruptcy courts across the country to represent the interests of firm clients.
