Kimberly M. Hare recently relocated from Kutak Rock’s Omaha office, becoming the first litigator resident in the firm’s Chicago office.
Since joining Kutak Rock in October 2013, Hare focuses on government compliance, investigations and litigation. She is a nationally recognized federal prosecutor who previously served as Assistant U.S. Attorney in the districts of Arizona, Kansas and Minnesota.
“It’s great to have Kim on the ground in Chicago,” stated Kevin Barney, partner in charge of the Chicago office. “While we have litigators in other offices who are admitted in Illinois, it provides peace of mind to our Chicago-based clients to know they have such an experienced resource in such close proximity.”
During her years of service with the U.S. Department of Justice, Ms. Hare led numerous investigations by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Internal Revenue Service, the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation, the Office of Investigations for U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Drug Enforcement Agency, and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms. She successfully prosecuted numerous cases involving wire fraud, mail fraud, bank fraud, Medicare fraud, human trafficking, child pornography, and violent crime, as well as violations of federal drug and gun laws. Ms. Hare received the Director’s Award for Superior Performance from the attorney general of the United States due to her proactive prosecutions.
