Kutak Rock partner Mariza McKee presented at the EB-5 Due Diligence Seminar Session entitled “Compliance with U.S. Securities Laws” at the Invest in the USA (IIUSA) annual conference October 10-11.
IIUSA is the national not-for-profit industry trade association for the EB-5 Regional Center Program. The conference was held on the campus of the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) in Westwood, California. Attended by investment and economic development professionals from around the world, the EB-5 Industry Forum featured panels on legislative and regulatory activities that will shape the future of the EB-5 Program.
McKee, as well as Rupy Cheema, Co-founder and Senior EB-5 Business Analyst, EB5 Diligence; Russell Scarcela, Director of Investigative Due Diligence and Business Intelligence, BDO USA LLP; Michael Fitzpatrick, Partner, Baker Tilly Virchow Krause, LLP; Christian Moore, COO, Global Verification Network; and Robert V. Cornish Jr, Partner, Phillips Lytle LLP, presented the EB-5 Due Diligence Seminar Session entitled “Compliance with U.S. Securities Laws.”
McKee, a partner in Kutak Rock's Chicago office, focuses her practice on structuring, negotiating and documenting EB-5 financings. She counsels regional centers, private equity funds, developers, lenders, borrowers and community development agencies that manage or are otherwise involved with domestic and international equity offerings seeking EB-5 investment. McKee is co-chair of IIUSA’s Compliance Committee, which focuses on elevating ethical standards and integrity measures for members of one of the EB-5 industry’s leading stakeholder organizations.
