On July 18, 2016, Kutak Rock partner Mariza McKee was the moderator for a New York EB-5 & Investment Immigration Convention panel titled “Representing Regional Centers, NCEs, and JCEs in an Era of Increased SEC and Other Regulatory Oversight.” During the session, McKee facilitated a discussion that included recent EB-5 SEC investigation case studies, responding to SEC/FINRA requests, and the impact of proposed legislative integrity measures and regulatory updates.
The session was part of the 2016 New York EB-5 & Investment Immigration Convention hosted by EB5 Investors Magazine in New York City on July 17-18. The conference attracted more than 700 attendees and featured keynote addresses by members of Congress, economist Dr. Arthur B. Laffer, and Beijing Entry and Exit Service Association President Charles Qi. The conference is part of a series that EB5 Investors Magazine hosts for networking, training, legislative discussions and other matters relating to the EB-5 Program.
McKee, a partner in Kutak Rock's Chicago office, focuses her practice on structuring, negotiating, and documenting EB-5 financings. She counsels regional centers, private equity funds, developers, lenders, borrowers and community development agencies that manage or are otherwise involved with domestic and international equity offerings seeking EB-5 investment.
