Kutak Rock employee benefits attorney John Schembari presented a webinar titled "Qualified Retirement Plans: How to Fix Common Errors" on August 17, 2016.

In the webinar, which was sponsored by the Clear Law Institute, Schembari discussed the Employee Plans Compliance Resolution System (EPCRS) and how organizations can select the best option. Among other things, Schembari covered:

• What the EPCRS program is
• The advantages, disadvantages and risks associated with each correction option in the EPCRS
• Common examples of operational errors and recommended corrections

Schembari stressed that correcting errors in the administration of their qualified retirement plans can help employers avoid costly IRS penalties and litigation.
