Aaron Myers of Kutak Rock’s Minneapolis office participated in the 2015 Midwest Intellectual Property Law Institute held in Minneapolis. The annual institute features numerous IP practitioners, judges, and government officials involved in IP policy. Myers co-authored a chapter for The IP Book 2015 distributed to faculty and guests attending the institute. His chapter, entitled “Teva Pharmaceuticals USA, Inc. v. Sandoz, Inc.: Supreme Court Clarifies the Standard of Review for Claim Construction,” discussed the Supreme Court’s landmark decision impacting the appellate standard of review applied to district courts’ claim construction orders.

In addition to writing the chapter, Mr. Myers moderated a panel discussion of distinguished IP practitioners discussing the aftermath of the Akamai, Alice, and Nautilus decisions and the wide-ranging impact of those decisions on business and patent law.

Myers' work at Kutak Rock focuses on high-stakes litigation, complex intellectual property matters, and advising companies on the resolution of business disputes.
