John Schembari, chair of Kutak Rock’s employee benefits practice group, recently spoke to 150 owners of small- to medium-size businesses on the state of the Affordable Care Act at an Omaha Suburban Rotary meeting on May 15, 2014.

The presentation focused on the current status of the various elements of the Affordable Care Act as they relate to employers and employee benefit plans. Schembari also highlighted the new elements of the law that will be implemented over the next few years. Representative Lee Terry, R-NE, was in attendance for the presentation and was able to participate in a political discussion of the law.

Schembari is a partner in the Omaha office of Kutak Rock. He concentrates his practice primarily in employee benefits, executive compensation, tax, corporate and privacy law.
