Kutak Rock is pleased to announce that Niki Cung has been elected Chair of the Board of Directors of Legal Aid of Arkansas, a nonprofit organization that strives to enhance the lives of low-income individuals by providing free civil legal services to low-income Arkansas residents across 31 counties.

Cung first became involved with Legal Aid during law school, when she interned at Ozark Legal Services and represented clients through Arkansas’ Rule XV Certification. She has stayed involved throughout her legal career and has served on the board for seven years.

“Niki is a true humanitarian and a great champion of equal access to justice. She has been very generous in giving her time and considerable talent to benefit Legal Aid and the clients we serve,” said Lee Richardson, Executive Director of Legal Aid of Arkansas.

As Chair of the Board of Directors, Cung will serve a three-year term.

Cung is a partner in the firm's Fayetteville office. She concentrates her practice on commercial litigation and complex insurance defense and has participated in jury trials involving a variety of claims, including contract, construction defect, product liability, wrongful death and personal injury, professional liability and malicious prosecution.
