Kutak Rock Partner Jay Jackson to Speak at Judge Advocate Association Panel

Jay Jackson, a partner in Kutak Rock’s Omaha office and former active duty judge advocate, will be joining as part of the Legal Innovators presentation for the Judge Advocates Association on Wednesday, March 20, at 12 p.m. ET. Jay brings a wealth of experience and insights into this transformative program, offering firsthand perspectives on the benefits it offers to legal professionals.

The panelists will share their experiences transitioning from Judge Advocate to practicing in law firms. Topics will include selling one’s experience, evaluating job offers, managing expectations, and preparing for future business development opportunities.

Jay serves as counsel to municipal issuers, underwriters, and lenders all in connection with the issuance of municipal bonds and other obligations. In such capacities he focuses on financing affordable multifamily housing. In addition, Jay acts as special counsel to lenders for the acquisition and documentation of interest rate caps in multifamily housing transactions. Prior to assuming these roles, Jay served on active duty in the United States Air Force for fourteen years, earning a master of laws in international law and deploying to the Middle East six times. He continues to serve as a lieutenant colonel in the Air Force Reserve.
