Mr. Kazamias is a partner in the Atlanta office. He conducts a structured finance practice with an emphasis on commercial real estate finance and development, banking, commercial lending and affordable housing transactions. Mr. Kazamias represents institutional lenders, domestic and foreign banks, credit enhancers, equity providers, joint ventures, public and private partnerships, business corporations and governmental entities in a wide range of complex financial transactions, including transactions that relate to or are secured by interests in commercial real estate, mezzanine finance and debt and equity restructurings and workouts. Mr. Kazamias also serves as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel, disclosure counsel, credit enhancer’s counsel and bond purchaser’s counsel in connection with tax exempt and taxable financings and tax credit financing of affordable housing and governmental projects.

Mr. Kazamias is also actively involved in the affordable housing field, where he represents developers, not for profits, investors, lenders and housing authorities. Transactions typically involve layered financings with various combinations of federally insured loans, state agency loans, loans from municipalities and local housing authorities, tax increment and tax credit equity and other grants and loans.

Mr. Kazamias also represents developers, owners, retailers, landlords and tenants in the development, acquisition, disposition, financing and leasing of office buildings, industrial properties and shopping centers and other retail developments.
