Hillary E. Ellis


Hillary focuses her transactional practice on complex commercial real estate matters, including commercial finance and general corporate matters related to the development, acquisition and disposition of commercial properties of all types and leasing of retail, office and industrial properties.

Hillary has extensive experience representing clients on all sides of real estate transactions including, without limitation, drafting and negotiating purchase and sale contracts and related ancillary documents, analyzing and resolving title, zoning and survey issues and handling transaction closings. Hillary has represented REITs and private equity groups in connection with the acquisition, development, disposition, and/or sale-leaseback of retail, hotel, office, industrial, mixed use, multifamily projects and senior living portfolios. Hillary’s practice also includes representation of healthcare providers in healthcare related real estate matters.

With more than 10 years of experience in the Denver business and real estate community prior to law school, Hillary partners with her clients to identify solutions, provide clear communication and achieve optimum results. 

  • Counsel to a private equity group in acquisitions of over $100 million in multifamily properties.
  • Represents national and regional landlords in all aspects of negotiating leases and amendments, reviewing zoning and lease restrictions for properties nationwide.
  • Assisted with the representation of a lender for real property and construction loans.
  • Represents tenants in the negotiation of leases for retail and commercial office space nationwide.
